The inspiration comes from an ancient legend—a group of birds embarks on a perilous journey in search of a cure. Ultimately, when they reach the destination where the cure is stored, they find nothing but a room full of mirrors. All stories are like a room of mirrors; what we see within them is the reflection of ourselves.

In August 2024, I composed music for the dancer Ning Xi’s work “Therapist.” This piece was commissioned for The 4th Mid-Mountain Dancer Art Week and had its premiere at the Meixi Lake International Arts Center in Changsha.
